About Department

The Department of Industrial Engineering was established in response to the increasing demand for highly skilled engineers in the Jordanian and Arab markets. The department welcomed its first batch of students at the beginning of the academic year 1999/2000. Currently, the department has 20 faculty members who are considered pioneers in their fields. The department offers a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, as well as Master's degrees in Maintenance Management and Risk and Crisis Management. The Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABEThttps://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Industrial and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.

 

As part of the College of Engineering at Hashemite University, our Industrial Engineering students benefit from a variety of modern laboratories, including Materials Properties Lab, Manufacturing Processes Lab, Human Factors Engineering Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, Automation Lab, and Metrology Lab.

 

As a student in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Hashemite University, you will have significant opportunities to apply the theoretical aspects taught in classrooms and laboratories in real-world work environments. Furthermore, our strong relationships with the industry and internship and employment programs have resulted in the placement of hundreds of our department's students in prestigious companies at both the local and regional levels, where they have obtained prominent positions within these companies.
