The main aim of this course is to introduce the student to the concept of the comparative literature as a critical approach that has its schools and methods. All required elements will be highlighted by studying literary master pieces written in English or translated into this language from other cultures, like the Arabic, European, African, and Latin American literature. Literary works are to be selected from one of genre-poetry, fiction, or drama. The course includes some exams, and students should submit papers to be discussed in class. |
