This eight-week internal medicine rotation is aimed at providing sixth-year medical students with the basic clinical medical experience that will build a base in clinical problem solving and decision-making. During this course, students rotate with different medical teams in hospitals affiliated to the medical school in the university. On normal weekday, we would expect that all students arrive hospitals at 8:00AM. And before the daily rotation, they are being asked to take medical history and to examine the patients in medical wards. In addition to the teaching tasks, faculty members regularly provide students with feedback and advice. At the end of this rotation, students are supposed to be familiar with Obtain a comprehensive history for medical problems. Acquire the basic skills of physical examination. Identify and explain abnormal signs. Formulate a case summary and differential diagnosis list. Suggest relevant investigations. Suggest management plan.
