This course is an introduction to tissue preparation (methods and procedures), students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of microtechnique theory by explaining the basic principles and procedures involved in the preparation of histological samples, as well as the study of tissues and tissue organization of organs about their function using light and electron microscopy. Throughout this course, students will learn the fundamental concepts of tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and microscopy. Emphasis will be placed on mastering various histological techniques used to preserve tissue morphology and cellular structures, ensuring accurate interpretation of histological specimens. |
