Course Discription
:
Overview of rehabilitation science, design and function of functional electrical stimulation (FES) for the rehabiliation of nueromuscular injuries and diseases (experimental use of FES equipment). In depth study of osseointegration (direct integration of titanium implants into bone) for the rehabilitation of injuries and diseases to various regions of the musculoskeletal system. A study of new avenues to utilize these techniques in rehabilitation centres in Jordan and the possibility to manufacture osseointegrated titanium implants using C&C machines available in the Hashemite University.
