The course aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of simulation concepts,
discrete event simulation, random number generation, discrete and continuous random
variables, input modeling, statistical analysis of simulation, computer networks simulation,
Discrete Time Markov Chains (DTMC), Continuous Time Markov Chains (CTMC), queuing
models (M/M/1, M/M/c/k, M/G/1) and queuing theory. Network simulation packages such as
ns2 are considered and programming assignments are required. |
