Generation, measurement, and testing of high-voltage systems; measurements in high-voltage systems; control of field and electrostatic stress; electrical breakdown in gases, solids, and liquids; non-destructive insulation testing techniques; partial discharge and corona; over voltages caused by lightning strokes, tower strikes, and ground wires; overvoltage effects on transformers; insulation types and applications, including internal and external insulation, creepage distance, and insulation coordination. The course also includes a laboratory, a set of simulation systems, and project design. |
