This laboratory course deals with the preparation, physical and chemical properties of transition metal complexes. Compounds are prepared and their spectral, magnetic, conductivity and chemical properties are examined. In all cases the compounds are analyzed after preparation. This course relies considerably on instrumental analysis, and illustrates principles encountered in Inorganic Chemistry (2) course. |
