(180702713) Foundations of Nursing Theories: 2 CH (2+0( Nursing science and theories as milestones to advanced clinical nursing practice; the evolution and development of theories relevant to nursing practice including grand and middle-range theories; and the philosophical underpinnings and implications of theories are analyzed. Strategies for theory development, evaluation and applications, the philosophical underpinnings of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and implications for research and practice are emphasized.
