The geologic setting of Jordan including stratigraphic sequences and structural framework; basement rocks; geologic rock units in the different eras; the Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras. Minerals and ore deposits; Dead Sea: origin, salts and its economic importance. Geologic and natural hazards in Jordan. Several field trips to some geologic features in Jordan.
