Provide practice in nutritional care for patients with diabetes, cancer, gastrointestinal problems cardiac diseases, patients undergoing hemodialysis, and other related cases. Students gain competence in formulating and monitoring nutritional therapy for critically ill patients. Students will work through the steps of the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitor/evaluation) while working with at least one patient each week. |
