This course introduces the basics of emergency first aid treatment. Topics include issues in providing care, primary assessment and basic life support, secondary assessment, circulatory emergencies, respiratory emergencies, soft tissue injuries, bone & joint injuries, environmental illness & injury, medical conditions, and advanced topics. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate skills in providing emergency care for the sick and injured until medical help can be obtained |
