Principles of network security and management. Review of basic vulnerabilities and attacks in wired and wireless networks. Protocols and standards for secure communication at different OSI layers (Hopping,PPTP, IPSec, SSL, TLS, SSH, PGP,…). Certificates and Authentication protocols: X.509, Point-to-point (PAP,EAP), AAA (RADUIS), Kerberos. Security of cellular networks (UMTS/LTE, Network Access Security & attacks, AKA). Access control mechanisms: Firewalls (stateful vs stateless), Intrusion detection Systems (anomaly-based vs behavior-based), Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE vs KP-ABE). |
