This course aims at developing the student's architectural design capacities related to the design of repetitive elements, and studying the distribution of these elements on the architectural site layout and the relations between them, taking into consideration environmental surroundings and elements of landscape. It aims also at training the students to develop their architectural designing sense, to use a methodology as a reference in the design process, and to know how to implement the use of geometric shapes and free forms in the design. Each student requires addressing the basic design concerns of form, function, circulation, orientation, privacy, spatial design compositions, etc. through three major projects.
Example projects include multistory residential building, Islamic complex center, residential complex, small hotels, office buildings, etc.
