:
Computer simulation is a major branch of biomedical engineering. Covers fundamentals of modeling biological structures and whole-body systems such as the musculoskeletal, nervous, and circulatory systems. Includes material and engineering modeling of biological systems using numerical techniques like finite element analysis and analytical methods. Applications using software packages: ANSYS, MATLAB, C++, etc. Investigation into using model results to innovate better surgical techniques (virtual surgery), implant design, and planning
