The President of the Hashemite University, Professor Dr. Khaled Hisham Al-Hiyari, and the Cultural Attaché at the American Embassy in Jordan, Mr. Jad Dornberg, discussed ways to enhance the existing cooperation relations between the two sides in the scientific, research and cultural fields, as well as students and academic exchange programs, as to especially increase the chances of accepting the  Hashemite University students in American universities to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees. This also involves increasing training opportunities and visits for university students, in addition to providing training opportunities and enhancing professional paths in the specializations that require this special kind of training.

        Dr. Al-Hiyari emphasized the need for joint cooperation to achieve its goals in serving students at various educational levels, especially in academic programs and training opportunities, which can be realized through activating joint agreements and memorandums of understanding with American universities.

       For his part, the American Cultural Attaché congratulated Dr. Al-Hiyari on his appointment as President of the University. He also stressed the readiness of the Cultural Attaché to provide the American Corner of the University Library with what it needs as to diversify its activities and continue holding cultural talks and scientific seminars.

 

The Cultural Attaché, accompanied by the Vice President of the University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Al-Mashaleh, visited the American Corner and was briefed on the services it provides such as the modern halls, equipment, and library materials.
