The president of the Hashemite University, Prof. Dr. Fawaz Al-Abd Al-Haq Al-Zboun, discussed during a meeting with a delegation from Kent State University, the methods of reinforcing the forms of joint cooperation between both parties in various academic programs. The meeting included Dr. Marcello Fantoni, the Vice President of Kent state University for Global Education Affairs, and Dr. Kristin Stasiwoski, the Assistant Dean of International Programs and Education Abroad, and the Director of the American Academy for Cultural Exchange at Kent University, Dr. Paulo Augusto. The seminar was also attended by the vice presidents of the Hashemite University,  a number of concerned Faculty Deans, and a number of Departments heads, and the Director of the councils Secretariat.

The parties discussed the ways for prospective synergy in many scientific, academic, and research fields, especially PhD programs in Translation, Educational Leadership, and Computer Science through joint academic programs which lead to obtaining joint academic degrees in different academic levels, in addition to the exchange of faculty staff and students, and the opportunity of having the sabbatical leave in both universities, and also through launching scientific conferences and workshops.

Prof. Dr. Al-Zboun ensured during this meeting  that the Hashemite University is always seeking for mutual cooperation with the most reputable universities like Kent State University. He confirmed that the Hashemite University aspires to reach " globality" through its academic programs, scientific projects, and the distinguished and qualified faculty staff.  

The Vice Presidents and the Deans discussed the most important possible fields  for future mutual collaboration with Kent State University especially through building an institutional partnership  in starting joint programs, and thus benefiting from the experiences of Kent State University in establishing global programs through networking with  global universities. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Al-Zboun presented  a brief summary about the Hashemite University and its academic programs, scientific colleges, Deanships, Laboratories, scientific projects, and Students. The president explained that the Hashemite University is completely ready for accomplishing such joint cooperation.

Dr. Fantoni talked about the academic excellence at Kent State University which has 360 academic programs, stressing that it is one of the American universities that has an advanced rank among other universities on the global Ranking level, and maintains many international synergies with various universities across Europe, South America, Asia and others. The Director of the American Academy for cultural exchange at Kent State University, Dr. Paulo Augustus, presented a lecture about the American Academy in Kent State University, which offers dual degree programs. The delegation toured the campus, during which they visited the Structural Systems Laboratory and the Solar Farm.
