   The president of the Hashemite University, Prof. Fawwaz Abd Al-Haq Al-Zboun, welcomed at his office Prof. Salwa Al-Noori, a visiting associate professor from Washington University, within Fulbright Program, who will be teaching at the Faculty of Science at the Hashemite University. The meeting was also attended by the University vice president, Prof. Sultan Al-Ma’ani, and Dr. Kathrin Miles, the Director of the Medical Education Center at the Hashemite University.

During the meeting, Prof. Al-Zboun stressed the importance of the academic exchange programs for the faculty staff which allow for more cultural and intellectual knowledge about other cultures. Prof. Al-Zboun mentioned that the Hashemite University is one of the state universities that highly focuses on faculty staff exchange as they are considered the main drive of the educational system. He also states that the university provides all the facilities and support that promote teaching, scientific research, and networking with the local community.

 Dr. Al-Noori expressed her pleasure in such meeting with the university president, and feels proud of teaching at The Faculty of Science at the university during her teaching visit, stating that the Hashemite University is one of the most well-reputed and pioneering universities that competes with global universities, known for its students who are academically hard-working. She added that the Hashemite University has a good reputation among other local, Arab, and global universities.      

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Salwa Al-Noori is an associate professor at the Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math at the University of Washington; her teaching experience concentrates on 'Collaborative Learning' that makes students engaged in the educational process, and reinforces the environment which supports the student-centered learning. She also believes that the multidisciplinary approach fosters students' education and leads to generate more knowledge from various perspectives.
