The President of the Hashemite University, Professor Khaled Al-Hiyari, met with Professor Colin McCoy, Dean of the Graduate School and former Dean of Internationalisation at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), UK, to explore further opportunities to build on the successful academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

     The meeting was attended by the University’s Vice President, Professor Mohammad Al-Tamimi; the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Mohanad Odeh; and several academic staff members from the Faculty.

     Professor Al-Hiyari reaffirmed the University’s commitment to impactful international partnerships that advance higher education and research, promote knowledge exchange, and create valuable opportunities for students and faculty members.

      Professor McCoy commended the Hashemite University’s academic and research development, highlighting the importance of strengthening institutional ties, expanding joint research, and creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange.

          Building on 15 years of successful collaboration, discussions focused on translating this longstanding relationship into practical initiatives, including specialised joint workshops, professional training programmes, and the development of Micro-Credentials. These initiatives aim to strengthen academic capacity, foster professional development, and align learning opportunities with evolving labour market needs.
