   President of the Hashemite University,  Prof. Khaled Hyari, met on Sunday with Christos Michalakelis, President of the Study in Greece (SiG) Organization, and Andreas Spyropoulos, Deputy Head of Mission at the Greek Embassy in Amman, to discuss strengthening academic cooperation between the university and Greek higher education institutions.

   Hyari emphasized the university’s commitment to expanding international partnerships and enhancing its academic and research presence with Greek universities. The discussions covered faculty and student exchange programs, joint academic programs, collaborative research, and the organization of joint conferences.

   He also highlighted the importance of building on previous successful collaborations with Greek universities under the Erasmus+ program, which fosters academic and research engagement between Jordanian and European institutions.

  Michalakelis noted that the SiG is a nonprofit organization comprising 24 official Greek universities. It aims to promote international cooperation in higher education and support international students. He expressed interest in collaborating with Hashemite University, given its strong academic and research reputation, and in developing joint academic projects and programs.
