The President of The Hashemite University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Hesham Hyari, during his opening of an interactive workshop to build capacities for administrative leaders in Zarqa Governorate entitled: "Empowering and Building Leadership Capacities in the Field of Creative Thinking", with the presence of the Governor of Zarqa, Dr. Firas Abu Qaoud, stressed the university's desire to enhance its cooperation and diversify its activities targeting the local community, especially capacity building and enhancing skills, which will positively reflect on the comprehensive development process in Zarqa. He added that The Hashemite University puts all its comprehensive capabilities of academic and administrative cadres in addition to its various facilities in order to provide all forms of support and assistance to various sectors of the local community and its public and private institutions, in line with the university's belief in its role and responsibility stemming from its mission to serve the local community in all its spectrums, institutions and individuals, and to enhance communication with its leaders for the sake of the nation's advancement and prosperity.

 

     Prof. Hyari expressed his pride in the participation of the elite promising leaders from Zarqa Governorate, which is evidence of the leadership's commitment to developing their capabilities and skills to encounter the challenges facing our societies, which require continuous cooperation from all of us leading to positive change, and serving future generations and improving field work competencies. Prof. Hyari added that this workshop is a valuable opportunity to transfer knowledge that combines scientific and technical development with practical application to exchange experiences and provide participants with effective tools and gain more skills to enable them to develop their capabilities and help make creative decisions that enhance the performance of their institutions and foster  sustainable development in our society, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and His Crown Prince, His Highness Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Zarqa for his great interest in holding such important workshops and his keenness to participate and attend and encourage all sectors in Zarqa Governorate to participate in such workshops that contribute to the sustainable development process in our beloved country. He also praised the contributions of Dr. Muhannad Odeh and his fruitful and ongoing initiatives in serving the community.

      The workshop presenter, Dr. Muhannad Odeh, Director of the Pioneering Center for Therapeutic Care Management at The Hashemite University/Strategic Advisor to Queen's University Belfast, UK, stated that the training workshop aims to improve self-development skills and enhances creativity skills in leadership and professional communication among leaders as to  improve institutional performance. He added that the workshop comes as a continuation of the university's visions in engaging the local community and supporting various sectors through the programs it has presented in various ministries and public and private national institutions.

At the end of the workshop, Dr. Khaled Abu Al-Teen, the Vice President of the Hashemite University, handed over certificates to the participants and praised the efforts made in the workshop, which was crowned with success through the feedback provided by the participants, stressing the university's continuation in building a partnership relationship with national institutions in Zarqa Governorate. A large number of leaders in Zarqa Governorate participated in the workshop, which included various directorates in the governorate, as leaders from Zarqa Governorate and the directorates of: Public Security, Civil Defense, Education, Environment, Public Works, Health, Social Development, Endowments, Civil Status and Passports, Municipal Affairs, Palestinian Affairs, Agriculture, Culture, Labor, Youth, and Antiquities, in addition to leaders from the Income Tax, Social Security, and Miyahuna (water) Company.
