The President of Hashemite University, Prof. Khaled Al-Hyari, stressed during his patronage of the launch of the scientific day activities of the College of Science, which came under the title "Biotechnology and its Local Applications", that holding this scientific day is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance scientific cooperation and build bridges of cooperation between the university and various academic and research institutions, which represents an opportunity to discuss biotechnology, which is one of the most modern scientific fields that plays a pivotal role in challenging the health, environmental and agricultural challenges facing society, pointing to the positive impact of using various biotechnology applications on improving the quality of life and achieving sustainable development.

   Prof. Al-Hayari added that holding this scientific day came to discuss and review the latest developments and research in the field of biotechnology, with the participation of an elite group of academics and researchers from various national institutions. It is also a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences between researchers, experts and students, and comes as an affirmation of the university’s keenness to enhance and enrich scientific research and innovation, in its belief in providing a stimulating academic environment that contributes to enabling faculty members and students to achieve distinguished scientific and research achievements.

     The Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof.  Mohammad Al-Wedyan, said at the opening of the scientific day, which was managed by the Head of the Department of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Dr. Muhannad Mas'aada: "Holding this scientific day is an opportunity to showcase research achievements and innovations in various disciplines that fall under the umbrella of biotechnology, which is one of the most prominent modern scientific fields that plays a pivotal role in confronting the health, environmental and agricultural challenges facing society today.

    The activities of the scientific day were attended by an elite group of researchers and specialized academics from various academic and research institutions and major pharmaceutical companies. The scientific day included a display of scientific posters specialized in biotechnology for undergraduate and master's students in the Department of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at The Hashemite University, and from the University of Science and Technology, Zarqa University, and Amman Private University.
