The Faculty of Arts at the Hashemite University held its scientific day, which was attended by the representative of the University President, the Vice President of the University, Professor Dr. Wasfi Al-Rawabdeh, members of the teaching and administrative staff, and students of the Faculty.
The dean of the faculty of Arts, Prof. Yahya Al-Ali, said that the scientific research is an effective tool to improve and enrich science and knowledge in a dynamic changing society. He added that the Faculty of Art is continually holding scientific days and research conferences in order to enhance the enrichment of knowledge as to serve humanity and the future generations, which reflects the faculty’s mission and its goals. He emphasized that scientific days are considered platforms for the faculty members to deliver their scientific and intellectual contributions. 

The scientific day, included three research and discussion sessions and creative works. During the first session, a number of research issues were discussed  such as the origins of Arabic and Indian numbers, the relationship between the intellectuals and authority, and global selections on cultural interaction. The second session talked about the role of boycotting multinational companies in the current war in Gaza, and a research paper on the  Jordanian national symbol: "Wasfi Al-Tal" as an example, and Jamila Buhaird between the past and present. 
The third and final session included  several scientific papers: a positive view on Islam from the perspectives of Western scholars and writers, and the American policy towards the Middle East, in addition to a collection of creative works and short stories.
