Orange, Jordan signed a contract with the Hashemite University for launching a digital fabrication lab (FAB LAB) at the Faculty of Engineering, within the  "Innovation Space" project;  a three-year program supported by the European Union's “Innovation for Enterprise Growth and Jobs” that aims to promote digital empowerment and innovation culture on a wider scale.   

According to the signed agreement, the digital Fabrication Lab (Orange Fab Lab) at the Hashemite University, will offer an integrated training on digital manufacturing skills and tools, as to provide the beneficiaries with the skills to manufacture prototypes, and to use 3D printing, laser cutting devices, and CNC machines in starting their innovative engineering projects.

The president of the Hashemite University, Prof. Fawaaz Al-Abd Al-Haq Al-Zboun emphasized the importance of this synergetic partnership between the university and Orange, Jordan  as a model for an entrepreneurial national institution which aims at reinforcing the Jordanian youth’s skills and capabilities and enhancing the Jordanian economy with human competencies that are able to excel and compete in the marketplace through increasing their opportunities for starting their own entrepreneurial projects in their career path, which will ensure their vital participation in the economic and societal development. The university also signed another contract with Orange, Jordan to offer training courses for the students of the Faculty of Engineering.
