THREE PROFESSORS FROM THE HASHEMITE UNIVERSITY WERE AWARDED FULBRIGHT GRANTS THROUGH RAWABIT PROGRAM
The Hashemite University (HU) is pleased to announce that three esteemed professors have been awarded prestigious Fulbright grants through the RAWABIT program. The Fulbright Program is a highly competitive and globally recognized initiative that promotes international exchange and academic collaboration between the United States and Jordanian institutions. These grants highlight the exceptional talent and dedication of our faculty members.
The following professors from HU have been selected for Fulbright grants:
1. Professor Sukaina Alzyoud from the Department of Community Health has been awarded a grant from the RAWABIT program hosted by the Fulbright Commission in Jordan. In collaboration with Prof. Tyler Pedersen from Birmingham Young University (Utah, USA), Prof. Alzyoud will work on a project focusing on Female Career Behavioral Health. This grant will enable her to collaborate with renowned scholars and contribute to advancements in women's economic empowerment.
2. Dr. Rasha Istaiteyeh from the Department of Economics has been awarded a grant from the RAWABIT program hosted by the Fulbright Commission in Jordan. She will conduct research at the University of California San Diego, working with Prof. Wael Al-Delaimy to develop a curriculum that involves refugee participation in educating them to become health workers. This multidisciplinary research aims to enhance the human capital development of refugees, overcoming mental hardships and facilitating their integration into the labor market.
3. Dr. Merfat Fayez from the Department of Childhood Education has received a Fulbright grant to participate in a professional development program at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in Nashville, Tennessee. This program will provide invaluable opportunities for enhancing her skills and broadening her understanding of Early Childhood Education and K-12 and university partnerships.
The Fulbright grants recognize these professors' remarkable achievements and contributions to their respective academic disciplines. Their selection underscores their outstanding qualifications and potential for making significant contributions to their fields. The HU takes immense pride in their accomplishments, further reaffirming the institution's commitment to excellence in education and research.
