As a representative of the president of the Hashemite University, professor. Awni Tradat, the vice president of the University, sponsored the activities of the introductory session for Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for voluntary work, which was organized by the deanship of the students’ affairs, in cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Youth.

Prof. Awni Tradat ensured the students' participation in curricular and non-curricular activities which are held by the university, in cooperation with the national institutions and civil society institutions which are concerned with youth work in all of its voluntary, literary, cultural aspects, in addition to awareness and sports activities, especially emphasizing the need for participating in Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for voluntary work due to its importance in developing students’ skills and cultivating their talents and providing them with the scientific knowledge and qualifications needed for participating in the voluntary work. This comes to reinforce the  importance of the youth role in supporting and developing the national march, as always emphasized by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussain, may Allah protect and bless Him.

The secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Youth, Dr. Hussein Al-Jbour, stated that launching Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for voluntary work, resulted from the guidance of His Royal Highness, the crown Prince, to reinforce the culture of voluntary work and appreciating the voluntary efforts of individuals , institutions, and teams and their contributions in achieving sustainable development.

Dr. Al-Jbour mentioned that the goal of the award is to integrate all parties that are concerned with the voluntary work in one cooperative unit  through a systematic strategy that supports the efforts of the volunteers, through increasing the opportunities of the university’s students in participating through “ WE” platform , the national platform for youth volunteering and participation in various campaigns, pointing that the ministry worked hard to legislate the law of voluntary work and to establish a national strategy for voluntary work  through expanding  and organizing the Award on a regional level.
