The vice president of the Hashemite University Prof. Wasfi Al-Rawabdeh and the professor of accounting and sustainability at the British University of Southampton, Professor. Ven Tauringana discuss the different ways of scientific and research cooperation between the two universities, especially regarding the academic programs and teaching courses at the Business college majors. The meeting was also attended by the vice dean of the Business Faculty, Dr. Ahmad Al-Husban, and the head of the accounting department, Dr. Munther Al- Nimr, and the members of the sustainability committee of the college.

Prof. Al-Rawabdeh asserted that the University is taking crucial steps to achieve the goals of the sustainable development, which represent a main factor for business development, referring to the fact that the University is looking for enriching the cooperation with Southampton University especially regarding the discussed topics such as  suggesting a sustainability accounting course in the specializations of accounting, accounting and commercial law, due to its increased importance in business fields, and the need for accountants who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and needed skills in the fields of sustainable development.

Dr. Tauringana mentioned that the British University of Southampton has a prestigious international reputation, and it ranks 81 according to the QS classification, declaring that this mutual cooperation for both Universities will provide a comprehensive understanding for sustainability accounting principles and practices for the students, which in turn will qualify them for the requirements needed in the work environment.
