     The vice president of the Hashemite University, Professor. Khalid Abu Al-Teen met today Dr. Nisreen Al-Bitar, the deputy director of the nutrition and community health project funded by the United states agency for International Development (USAID) and its accompanied delegation. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of developing a training course for nutrition and community health which is concerned with the nutrition of mothers, infants, and children , in addition to family planning for the students of health colleges.  The meeting was attended by the dean of the college of nursing, Prof. Jamila Abu Dhail, the dean of the college of pharmacy, Prof. Saja Hamid,  and the dean of applied medical sciences, Prof. Murad Al-Hauly, the dean of Dentistry, Prof. Zeyad Al-Duwairi.

     During the meeting, Dr. Abu Al-Teen emphasized the University’s welcoming interest in building Joint cooperation and partnerships with different local, Arabic and global institutions which reinforce the academic path with practical applications that contribute to empowering the students and increasing their awareness which will, in turn, enrich their experiences and support their education that reflect on their professional and academic level and enhance the competition opportunities in the  marketplace locally and regionally.

     Dr. Al-Bitar, presented a detailed explanation about the nutrition and society health project which is funded by the United States agency for international development which aims at enhancing the nutrition practices for mothers, infants and children under age 2 , through concentrating on developing a measurable development in six behaviors related to maternal nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, infant and children nutrition and postpartum family planning.
