Student Loans

   

Loans granted to students shall aim of encouraging them to continue their study at the University.
Students' who registered at the Hashemite University to be awarded an academic degree shall be given annual or semester loans as the committee deemed appropriate and in accordance with the following conditions :
The student must prove that he is need of a loan in accordance with conditions determined by the committee.
The student must not have been granted a scholarship by an official body or otherwise.
The student must not be an employee or gets paid by any official body or otherwise.
The student must not be receiving enough financial assistance as seen by the committee, on individual basis.
The student must least, complete one semester following his registration at the University.
The borrowing student shall provide a financial sponsor to sign the bills of payment of the borrowed amount, as mentioned in the warranty and as determined by the committee.

The sponsor shall not be a University employee unless he is someone in charge of the borrowing student.
Repayment at the loan shall start six months after the graduation of the student. The committee may postpone the repayment of the loan for a period of time if the committee becomes convinced of the causes of such postponement.
The borrowed amount shall be repaid as monthly installments, the amount of which is determined by the committee.
If borrowing student is expelled from the University, he or his sponsor shall repay the amount of the due loan as the committee deem appropriate.
In cases of death and complete disability, the committee may waver the student or his sponsor from paying back the loan or the due loans.
